Rabby was found abandoned in a Kingston subdivision, at risk of dying from exposure or falling prey to predators.
In November 2013, we become aware of an adult Dwarf rabbit that was abandoned in a residential subdivision of Kingston. As a result, Rabby’s life was at risk from exposure to the elements or predators (domesticated rabbits cannot survive outside like wild rabbits). While it is not clear whether Rabby was deliberately abandoned, or escaped from an inadequate enclosure, his situation was the result of people who did not address his needs. Fortunately, a caring resident contacted North Mountain Animal Sanctuary and Rabby’s rescue was arranged. He later lost an eye. Rabby is a friendly, sweet rabbit who gets along well with other rabbits and animals.
