About Us
About NMAS
North Mountain Animal Sanctuary is a registered charity located in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. Our mission is to provide care, comfort, and rehabilitation to abused, neglected, and unwanted farm animals.
At present, we provide shelter for goats, rabbits, sheep, turkeys, pigs, chickens, and several guinea pigs. Our animals are funded by the generosity of caring individuals like you.
The more funding we receive, the more animals we can rescue. Donations help provide medical care, nutritional needs, and a comfortable environment. As a professional organization, we are committed to honesty and transparency, therefore in 2010 we worked diligently to achieve charitable status. Our finances and operations are reviewed yearly by the federal government. Multiple opportunities to support the sanctuary are available.
