Can I volunteer for NMAS?
Yes, we welcome volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering please contact us to receive a volunteer application. Volunteering for us is a great way to learn skills while helping rescued farm animals in need.
Do You Accept Visitors?
We do not accept visitors or have public tours at the Sanctuary. However, we do have volunteer & work visit opportunities.
How Many Animals Live At NMAS?
Over 50 rescue animals live at our Sanctuary. This includes goats, rabbits, sheep, turkeys, pigs, chickens, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, and several turtles
What is Holistic Animal Care?
Amanda Dainow, Co-Founder of NMAS and certified clinical herbalist in holistic animal care, uses natural herbal medicine, in combination with conventional veterinary medicine to treat the animals at the Sanctuary.
Who Founded NMAS?
North Mountain Animal Sanctuary is a registered non-profit charity, founded in 2008 by Amanda Dainow and Leif Vernest.
